At this year’s Opening Reception, we continue to celebrate our 90th anniversary and present the special AXIOS Award to a valuable member of the Club and the Greek American community: Georgia Chletcos.

AXIOS AWARD

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Axios Award for 2026 will be presented to former Club President Georgia Chletcos at the Opening Reception. The Axios Award recognizes a member’s outstanding service to the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia.

Georgia has been a member of the Club since her graduation from Drexel University, having been introduced to the Club by her aunt and godmother, Club founder Theresa Chletcos. In addition to having served as President of the Club from 2010-2012, Georgia has held many Board and committee positions over the years. Most recently, she was co-chair of the Club’s very successful 90th Anniversary Gala. She has also served as the president of the Federation of Hellenic American Societies and has held leadership positions in the Daughters of Penelope.
